Hello, everyone! Just wanted to check in and say that the Backerkit surveys are almost all filled out!

Only about 20 of our backers have not finalized their surveys yet. So if you are one of those folks, watch your email because Backerkit will send you your reminders! And for everyone that has done their survey, there is still time to add on before we go to print. Which brings me to part two of the update.

Series artist Jen Broomall got caught up in the recent hurricanes and has had to deal with no power etc as well as the local clean up. This has set us back a bit, but have no fear! The book will be finished, printed and shipped out ASAP. Jen got to meet a bunch of you at New York Comic Con as well, and we both want to thank you all for your support and patience as we get this first Kickstarter under our belts! We’ve learned a lot, and will use this knowledge for good, rather than evil, and with your help, we will continue to be able to bring new projects your way through Kickstarter!

Backer Kit Surveys Are Sent!

Thank you everyone for your patience! Backer Kit surveys are officially sent as of this morning! Be sure to get any add ons you may have missed during the campaign, or purchase any of the variants that weren’t part of your original pledge tier. We are aiming to have the book to print towards the end of November. Jen and the crew are working hard on pages, colors and so on and we are all very excited about getting this new story out into the universe! Jen and I have discussed the Future of Lights...Camera…Jungle! as well, and have some fun ideas for the future including some web comics and of course Volume 2 which I will be scripting soon so we can do this again next year!

Thank you all for your support, and watch this space as I will be previewing Jen’s art as well as Ceci de la Cruz’s colors as we move towards our print date! This is a new experience for all of us on this end, and we thank you for your patience in our learning process and hope to meet you all at conventions next year!

 Page 7 Inks are up and off to color! I'm working on the other pages right now! This page was fun because I got to tap into my inner fashionista and find all kinds of silly dresses in animal print!  

On a side note: Don't wear animal prints to an audition! It's distracting!

While we will not be shipping Lights..Camera...Jungle! till November, we are going to get all of your information collected and ready now, so as soon as the books are in our hands, they can head straight to the post office and get to you in the most efficient way possible! So please watch for your surveys in your email over the next couple of days so we can get this all squared away now. That way, the next month or two will be filled with only awesome updates as Jen and Ceci and the crew finish up Lights…Camera…Jungle! Volume 1!

Thanks again to all of our backers on this first ever Big Dog Ink Kickstarter campaign! With this first try notched on our belt, we are looking forward to what is next! There are a number of titles we want to get back to, including Critter, Penny for Your Soul and Ursa Minor, as well as new titles like Antionette and Kaiju Epic! Creativity is blossoming and 2017 will be nothing short of amazing as you, our fans and backers, work together with us to create some of the coolest comics on the planet!
